Marble Balls Sorting Machine - Student Mechatronics Project

One goal, extremely different solutions - this is usually the effect of students working in groups on design project. Presented by MAD Research Group marble balls sorting machines are the result of Mechatronics 424 - Group design project.

The Mechatronics, Automation and Design (MAD) research group forms part of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University. On the group's YouTube channel it is shared the video, where students present their solutions for marble balls sorting machine. The projects are different, the only thing looks similar are sorted marble balls. In their student mechatronics project they used a worm screw, rack wheels, actuators, overhead cranes, rotators and servo drives. All this is supported by electronics and controlled by software.
